6) Depending on the complexity of the new device, an hour to several hours. I'm linux!anon and it took a good portion of my weekend to familiarize myself with the system enough to do what I wanted/needed to do for casual use. I'm still working out the kinks for more complex processes. A phone wouldn't take nearly as long.
