Oh yeah, I think both have a really interesting history.

My mom (she grew up going to a Quaker summer camp) used to tell me "remember, shakers shake" and I've always thought "wait, do shakers shake or do quakers quake?"

I grew up Quaker and went to a Quaker elementary and middle school as well as a few summer camps, and they never taught us Shakers were a thing. I learned about them in a public high school history class.

I probably only knew about them because I grew up near Shaker Village in Maine.
