I wouldn't have guessed that but makes sense given how popular the show was. I don't remember much of the show, but I do recall being weirded out that in the movie Beetlejuice was attracted to Lydia because he's an old monster and she's a teenage girl. And being even more weirded out with the show because I recall romantic tension between Lydia and Beetlejuice. Mostly recall the opening credits and theme song, and that I didn't like the romance I felt between Lydia and Beetlejuice. I was like 6-7 and don't have strong memories of the cartoon show so maybe I'd projected or imagined it.

DUDE I had the exact same vibe from the cartoon around the same age, and I'm so glad I'm not alone here. If I said that there were uncomfy romantic vibes between Lydia and Beetlejuice in the cartoon in more mainstream socials, I'd be a pariah ahaha
