Echoing previous anon. The military fanatics are scary and twisted. Everything is about “the soldiers” but they’re very talk the talk about it and consistently vote for the people whose policies erode support for soldiers and veterans. The VA is quite possibly the most bloated bureaucracy in the country and accessing benefits is not only difficult but sometimes impossible. VA disability benefits were scaled back last year as part of DOGE but the “what about the soldiers!!!11!” people don’t know or don’t care.
