Yeah, horror movie logic is it's own thing. It's like a morality parable or fairy tale. In real life you don't deserve death or torment for being rude to a beggar at your door, nor does helping a wounded sparrow make you qualified to run a kingdom. But! We're not in real life.

The one who broke into the library and took pictures of their secret books was 100% guilty by horror movie logic. The couple who made a big scene at the suicides? Deserved it. Guy who peed on the special thing? Had it coming. Ect.

That's a cool thing about Midsommar is how it tilts the perspective of the genere.

Yes I know I'm a week late, I don't care.
