I'm originally from up north, so I can handle the snow. Problem is, most people around me in my current area can't.

Tornado Alley is toward the center of the US, around Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas and on up to the Dakotas and Nebraska. Much farther west from where the cancellations happened.
