The Oz books were such a huge part of my childhood. I'm so bitter that it is public domain now and we keep getting "adaptions" that aren't. Now even horror movies. I just want an actually faithful adaption. And one of Ozma of Oz and Emerald City too.

B!S: I'm glad we at least got Return to Oz, which isn't super faithful but still the best adaption so far.

Very much agreed. Also, there's going to be a horror movie about Oz?? I hadn't heard that. Ugh....

Yup. Coming out this year. I saw the trailer while at the theater to watch a different movie.

Eh, there have been a bunch of dark-takes-on-Oz in comics and regular books, so I'm not shocked.

I've only read Ozma Of Oz but I'm interested in reading the others as well.

There was actually a Japanese anime in the late 80s that covered a few of the Oz books. A dubbed version was shown on tv here in Australia, and was called "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz", so maybe you could try finding that to watch.
