I started playing Palia last year sometime and I remember being amazed at how friendly amd helpful the in game interactions were. Then recently I've slowly noticed a change. People calling others out in chat, "naming amd shaming" for perceived slights, people just being generally catty and unhelpful but under this veil of toxic positivity. Idk what happened but it has made me sign in less and less amd not interact with people all that often anymore.

This was my first "cozy game" experience but if this is a pattern you've seen then I can't really blame you for not even wanting to give it a try.

Yeah, it honestly makes me really sad because I think Palia is a good/fun game, but unfortunately there are a lot of people on there who are just plain mean, and like you said, they kind of hide it with toxic positivity. A lot of people really overreact to anything they think might be negative. Like if somebody bumps past you at a store they might be rude, but that doesn't give you the excuse to pull a knife out and stab them. Especially if the reason they bumped you is because they were running to the bathroom to throw up or something. Sorry this analogy is probably getting out of hand but I just got frustrated with how nasty people could turn so easily.

Yeah, I thought it was really cute and had a lot of things that were interesting, but I just couldn't stick with a multiplayer game.
