Website obsessions

What websites do you spend way too much time on?


For me it is Flight Rising, Youtube, Not Always Right, Tumblr, and Bored Panda. Occasionally also get dragged onto Buzzfeed and Tvtropes.

Youtube, tumblr, reddit, and imgur. I don't think I could spend too much time on AO3.

I really only spend my time on four websites. Ao3, Reddit, Tumblr, and here.

Reddit........

It's actually the only site I really have a problem with wasting time on. I use YT, Instagram, and others but none of them are nearly as much of a time sink for me.

I don't really count AO3, because like, if I spend too much time on Reddit, my thought process is, "Ugh, I spent too much time on Reddit." The platform itself feels like an inherent part of the time wasting I did there. Whereas if I read fanfic for eight hours straight, AO3 may have been the archive on which I did it, but AO3 doesn't feel like a participant in me wasting my time there.

Basically the only places I waste time. I'd quit Facebook if it weren't so handy for local meetups and my specific career networking and for finding jobs.

Lurking on Reddit. I have an account on tumblr and have fun there with trusted mutuals, but reddit I just read. And it's not worth it most of the time, I gotta cut back.

Most of what I listen to are scores. I love them. Here are a few I regularly listen to.

Movies: Schindler's List, Gladiator, Wind River, Annihilation, Prometheus, Under the Skin, It Follows, The Hours, The Road, Mad Max: Fury Road, Macbeth, Life of Pi, Arrival, Inception, Pan's Labyrinth, Moon, The Winter Soldier.

Shows: Game of Thrones, Westworld, Sherlock, Band of Brothers, Mandalorian, Chernobyl.

Video Games: Bastion, Little Nightmares, Limbo, Signalis, What Remains of Edith Finch, Bioshock, the Last of Us, Mass Effect 2, Wrath of the Lich King, World of Goo, Braid, Valiant Hearts.

Captain America The Winter Soldier. The first Pirates of the Caribbean. The original Star Wars. Raiders of the Lost Ark. The first Transformers score. Jurassic Park. The Mandolorian. The Civil War score from Ken Burns. 1995 Pride and Prejudice.

Star Wars OT and PT, Lion King, Moanna, How to Train Your Dragon movies, Children of Dune miniseries, Jurassic Park, Superman, Doctor Who, Star Trek: First Contact, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Lord of the Rings, Gladiator, Game of Thrones, original Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy.

Those are just a few favorites. I really love scores. A lot of my music on my mp3 player is score music.

Multiple Adaptions

If you had to pick between adaptions of the same piece of work, what would you pick?


In honor of the Dune 3 teaser trailer. It does look fun. And I did enjoy the first two for the most part. But I will still always pick the miniseries as the best adaption.
