=( Agreed Secret OP. I used to listen to soundtracks endlessly but the last movies I can think of really liking the soundtracks were Pacific Rim and Pixar's Up. I went out of my way to find the albums and I listened to music all the way through for weeks/months.

I recall really liking the soundtrack for It Follows but there is no tune that I can hear in my head that calls me back to the movie.

It feels like movie music lost its magic =( not many soundtracks now leave a lasting impression. No epic horns blaring with drums thrumming loudly with the strings swelling that immediately draw me to the Fellowship of the Ring. No pretty string notes that invoke the childlike wonder and love I felt when I watched ET as a kid.

I don't know enough about music to know why movie soundtracks aren't memorable in the same ways anymore. I just feel a little sad lol
