I don’t feel for her. She participated in an armed heist that cost an innocent man his life. Yes, she did it out of poverty, but she was sentenced to time in a rehabilitation facility, not even prison, and her son would have had a decent life as a ward of the Federation. But she was so angry she didn’t get to go free that she scared her young child into running away, leading to him growing up alone and on the run and becoming an angry bitter criminal – you know, like her.

Neither the Federation nor Nahla Ake failed Anisha. Or Caleb. The Mirs just like to blame everybody else for the consequences of their own actions.
