Sometimes I wonder if JRR Tolkien ever met Richard Llewellyn or read his "How Green Was My Valley", it seems like they had similar early lives and had similar themes in their books. I can see JRRT reading the books and going "okay, but this needs a magic ring and some elves in this Welsh thing! Where is the damn Druid?". Would Tolkien like it, would Llewellyn and he get along?

I have weird thoughts about obscure books sometimes.
