The only romance I've really enjoyed are the dub-con-heavy urban fantasy type of the 2000s.

I grew up reading Harlequin but always stopped reading as the HEA approached because I was there for the tension and conflict.

I stopped reading romance in the 2010s when the focus seemed to increasingly became on hyper-consent and men learning the errors of their ways or whatever.
