Yeah. I was just a kid when FFN was created and Strikethrough happened when I was in high school, but things were different back then. I had more free time to dig for most obscure fansites and fic as a kid, and when I was a teen I'd lurk LJ Kink Memes as soon as I came home from school. As an adult, I... just don't have that time anymore. I don't have time to maintain my own website or hunt around for forums or webrings. It's quicker to just browse a Tumblr or AO3 tag for content now, because I don't have the energy after working 9-5. I wish people would acknowledge that when it comes to criticizing social media usage.
