I don't understand why Star Trek fans are upset at Starfleet Academy for having a Gay Klingon. Klingons are based on several warrior societies throughout history, and if there is one thing you learn about history it is that men in warrior societies absolutely fuck each other all the time.

I was not thrilled that their first openly gay Klingon is also the one who staunchly refuses to be a warrior, but I guess I just want more gay Klingons.

Yeah, I feel that should be two characters myself. The non-warrior pacifist should be chishet, but a Klingon gung-ho hyperwarrior should be trans-gay.

And this is why we need a Star Trek: Klingons show, that is more like The Crown.

Wait really? That's just annoying to me.
I'm curious if some people aren't conflating it a bit and hear that people dislike this character and assume it's because he's gay when really they dislike he isn't Klingon enough.

I don't think the people who are upset about a gay character are the types to read history books, or if they are, they are probably also the type to decry how the woke agenda has warped history texts since everybody knows the Sacred Band of Thebes were all just really good friends.
