I've never carved my initials into a tree, all because of that scene from Fern Gully.

"Can't you feel it's pain?"

Honestly, that movie made me super anti-litter and is still in my head when I pick up trash as I come across it in nature.

I never did it because I had a Woodsy Owl bookmark that said not to.

Never done it; I was an 80s/90s kid that grew up on environmental messages. There's 88 year old sequoias in my town that are getting cut down because they're dead due to environmental damage in their park and it makes me so fucking smad.

I'm so bloody sorry, anon.

I always wanted to pick bark off trees so bad, but I didn't, for the same reason!

I've never killed a spider because of Charlotte's Web

As a kid, I'd apologize to the tree if I see someone cut writing into it because of Ferngully. I also have never carved into the bark of a living tree XD

Same here, I’ve always remembered that particular scene from Fern Gully. I really wish we had more mainstream movies and tv shows (especially new ones targeted towards children) that were more environmentally conscious and encouraged people to care more about our planet. I remember there was so much media like that when I was a child, but the current generation of kids doesn’t seem to have much of that.
