Lennier was always a bit of an incel creep in Babylon 5. Even right back to Season One's "Eyes", when the thing that gets him interested in the history of Earth Motorcycles was "sexual prowess". The passive-aggressive "friendzone" creeper was always part of his character.

Incel?

I thought incels are supposed to hate women? Especially women who rejected them? I don't remember Lennier ever once treating Deleen, or any woman, with anything less than respect.

So are we just misusing and redefining words all willy-nilly now?

You know, you could just call Lennier a jealous psycho instead? It's equally derogatory. Less hip, true, but accurate.

Not the first time lately that someone claimed a male character being in an (potential) unrequited love with a woman was an incel when they did not fit the definition. Turning against the woman they love for rejecting them and hating women in general is kind of a requirement to be called an incel. Why are people forgetting that? Not being loved in return is not a crime and doesn't make you a bad person. How you react can.

Incel isn't the right word. But he was a bit creepy at times.

Agreed. Not incel. But he was creepy in regards to Delenn. I know they were going for the "courtly love" trope of medieval times. But yes, he was kind of creepy from the beginning.

Lighten up, jeez. A lot of this stuff was meant as good old comic relief and you're seeing way too much into it
