Yeah, for a minute there I actually thought Dean was supposed to be Edward Cullen because of the reddish hair...*shudders*

Dean's hair is reddish under certain lights, so the ruddy sort of tint there doesn't particularly bother me. I prefer that to the high degree of fanart where he's out and out blond, I've got to say. He's got some blond highlights and was certainly blond as a kid, but he's certainly not blond now!

Huh, I've never seen any reddish tints...:s Except maybe in kid!Dean....to me he has always just had brownish hair...*shrug*

It's easiest to see in his beard, oddly enough. The stubble there sometimes comes across as rather red, and depending on the lights (and it's pretty rare) you can see it in his hair as well.

Yes, what is blond!Dean all about? He turns up a lot in fanfic too.

It always takes me right out of the fic when the writer describes him as blond!

I am with you both on this one. He's not blond. His hair just isn't as dark brown as Sam's.

Of course I also get irritated when fic describes Sam's eyes as brown...

I might just be anal retentive.
