I'm not being a dick, I swear. This is not wank. I am hardcore Sam/Dean and I really, really tried to get into Dean/Cas. But to be honest the fic made me... ill...?
I can't even explain why except that I don't see Castiel's blank stare as anything other than a bird examining a bug, finding it odd and befuddling, but not particularly appetizing unless the it's near death. And while the personal space issue is amusing... it also doesn't translate as love/sex/ust/attraction/whatever to me.
Okay... long explanation for a short question. I honestly want to know how you see Dean/Cas (romance, not sexual) in canon.

It is very complicated though. I mean, I look at romance a certain way, like an intense friendship, which I think Dean and Cas have been shown to have, through the way they act with/for each other. Cas showed last season with his betraying the other angels storylines that he was committed to Dean, he "liked him" as Uriel said, in an especially creepy way when he was talking about the higher ups being worried where Cas's loyalties lay. I know the fact that Cas has sided with the boys over heaven is sometimes pushed aside as just Cas doing what he judges as right, but even if that is the overwhelming reason, after thousands of years, going against your "family," especially with Cas being so in need of an authority figure, he's going to grow attached to these boys because they're special to him, Dean especially for several reasons (talked about in the places I recommend below).
Dean hearts Cas (sorry, lol), cause he's what he has. He's his best friend, besides his brother, and at certain points instead of his brother :(. I don't think Dean's ever had a best friend besides his brother, so he's become very attached to the guy, even dependent on him. I think he loves him, because he needs to, and I'm afraid that's not something I can explain or show. It's just an opinion on the character, really. Knowing Dean for four and a half years, I just feel like he needs to love and be loved (eugh, I think I made myself a bit nauseous there, sorry.)

But that being said...
Your links are awesome. I don't think I can get behind it, but I think I understand the people who are better. So seriously, thanks. It's not like I was hating (at ALL) on the Dean/Cas fans. I was just damn confuzzled. ^__^
