I hate that if the first Star Wars movie was made today, the scene of Darth Vader escaping the Death Star destruction would be an "End/Mid Credits Scene" instead of being in the movie proper. The need to hold stuff back for the credits ruins the flow of so many movies.

I'm honestly over end credits scenes in general, especially at the theatre. I already sat through an assload of ads at the beginning, and I have to pee.

I get what you're saying, but I would honestly have been okay with that, I think. I loved how they did it for Spider-Man Far From Home. Like, you're relaxing because things have been fixed in the denouement of the movie and then the stinger comes and lets you know that, no, things are not alright and your mind goes to all the possibilities and then you're hyped up for the next one. And yeah, that can happen without putting it mid or end credits, but that true pause can really up the intensity, for me anyway.

End credit scenes have their place! I think they are great for fans, as long as they also don't take away from the main movie.

I agree, I don't think I would've minded it here either.
