How're you today?

(Anonymous) 2026-04-16 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I fucked up and made my psych appt too last minute so now I may have to go a couple days without my meds which is causing a tad bit of anxiety. Usually my pharmacy fills it the next day! But I got a call from them that my insurance is being weird and needs "manual approval" or something and it may take a few days.

Other than that today was pretty good! Good weather, my garden is going well, and it is almost the weekend. How about you?

Recovering from some severe GI issues and lack of sleep and still coming in to work. But the silver lining is it's Friday and we knock off early. I'm ready to bedrot.

So exhausted. I've had issues sleeping for the past couple weeks. Also had a really bad day in court on tuesday with an awful judge who is a genuinely terrible person. But I have tomorrow off, so happy about that. And the next couple weeks are much lighter than the past few weeks have been.

Oh, also, even though my old insurance was blue cross HMO and my new insurance through job is blue cross HMO, somehow my old primary couldn't be selected. So now I have to see new doctor and get new referrals for all my specialists. And meanwhile, an emergency neurology appointment I had a few weeks ago happened to be on April 1 when new insurance started. Which means insurance refused to cover, and I'm going to have to pay out of pocket unless I can get a retroactive referral somehow.

Okay, I guess. I don't know what I did that caused a tendon in my right leg to go awry painfully, but it resolved itself after I could finally get some sleep. Did some petty chores in the house, getting ready for a relatively active Saturday.

Exhausted but looking forward to visiting my sister! We are having a bunch of big shit happening at work. So glad it is almost Friday.

My co-worker has been out unexpectedly so I've had to do everything myself, but at least I get next week off, so that's nice.

I had plans for this weekend but they got cancelled and it looks like I'm going to be very bored unless something unusual happens.

You can always watch House MD or Jeeves and Wooster to lift you out of boredom.

I got a lot of little things done today, so even though they are not “big deals” it still felt good to get them done and off my to-do list.

So, pretty darn good!

Sometimes a lot of little things feels even better than the big things. Congratulations! This random stranger is impressed!

I had my third really good day in a row. I can’t remember the last time that happened.

Woo! That's awesome. Is there something that has changed to prompt this good streak or just random good vibes?

Eh. Okay, because it's a day off and I did some stuff and relaxed at home with my cat and all, so that's fine, but my hours are fucked up and the person who did the upcoming schedule had me working two twelves and a sixteen hour shift like, lady, wtf.
Plus, that means i *only* work those days, so someone else is in 'my' house overnight and the other two overnight people just generally fuck things up, which is annoying as all get out. So, meh.
On the plus side, I am getting my birthday off. On the not-plus side, I am down four hours so again, another week at less than forty, ARGH.
It rained today and was lovely.

Today was okay. I can't complain. I managed to get some sleep, then I went to my psychiatrist without any problems, then I got my knee x-rayed, and read several pages of my book on the bus home. I got home at a decent time, I treated myself to some Diet Pepsi on sale, and my relative surprised me with some fish and chips dinner from the restaurant they ate at.

It happens. Your day actually sounds kind of lovely. The way you wrote it, I envisioned it like watching one of these scenes in a movie of someone going about their day with music over the top. Just a calm normal day.

Good luck with your meds, my wife is dealing with something similar (she needs a replacement dose of her meds because of a delivery issue and has to wait a bit longer than usual). Medication delays suck. You'll get through this, hang in there.

I'm very tired this week, been going through a lot emotionally, just trying to take time to relax and do calming things in the evenings. Today was sunny, after a few days of rain. Looking forward to the weekend.
