My therapist has been encouraging the idea of using Pokemon as a support team and, as crazy as it sounds, it's actually been helping a lot. I have my own team set up, they have assigned roles (like Misdreavus helps my anxiety, Espeon and Meowstic help calm my mind, etc). I had a panic attack yesterday and immediately reached out to them.

I feel like a nut job doing this but if it helps, it helps.

If it helps and doesn't hurt anyone, why not? It sounds like a cute visualization and a good way to redirect negative thinking.

I always feel a little crazy when I try certain new mental health methods. But hey, if it works and harms no one then it is a win.

I do similar things sometimes, very much 'if it works it works'-- and no one in your day to day life has to know what it is and judge it/you as being 'silly'! Like... sometimes you just have to think about a comfort character helping you through your panic and anxiety and that's true whether you're imagining a human character talking you through things, or a Pokemon team using their abilities to help calm you!

Add in Ditto and you can pretend to be anyone you want.
