Yeah, as someone who's attracted to women, I try to be especially vigilant about this kind of thing. Though I'm sure that societal norms play into it just as much.


Since seeing some of these memes a few years ago, I did notice some discrepancies between how I write characters of different sexes.

Nothing this extreme/raunchy, but I did notice I would describe women's outfits, appearances, and overall beauty, even when it had no bearing on the plot, far more often than with male characters. Sometimes at the expense of other aspects of their character.
