I hate how hostile some people get when there are requests to be given the option to disable features in video games. Recent example: I saw someone ask to turn off the hotel in Animal Crossing and people shit all over them - "It's a free update, why are you complaining, just get over it, each visitor is only there for one day so it's not a big deal, why did you decorate a room in the first place" blah blah blah.

No one is asking for the hotel to be deleted from existence in everyone's game. They're just asking for an option to close the hotel rooms so that there aren't random villagers hanging around the island every day. I think that's a 100% reasonable request, but some people act like the person making the request came into their home and shat on their bed.

I personally actually love having these randos show up, I think it's a lot of fun and I enjoy seeing who turns up and chatting with them, but it would not in any way negatively impact my game if other people had the option to go to Isabelle and ask to close the hotel rooms down.
