I loathe Joanne, and despite what I'm about to write, I still won't ever pay for her shit again, because I hate her guts.

But the truth is, it's more or less fine ethically to financially support her shit.

What JK spent on her terf-induced jihad against trans people so far is literally pocket change to her. Not even a million, last I heard. She's already earned all the money she'll ever need to do it twenty years ago. If she has just a couple of high-yield savings accounts, and she does, Joanne could use what she earns from them yearly to fund her crusade forever. Without a single dime she might make from Harry Potter.

In other words, Joanne could lose control of Harry Potter today and still be able to fund her bigotry without missing a beat until the day she dies.
