Many eons ago I was actually concerned with crap like MAL stats, numbers, having a clean backlog. Some years ago I let go of it all and now I enjoy having a huge backlog. Look at all these series I can choose from when and if I feel like watching something new!

Making a hobby into a completionist chore sucks the fun out of it IME. It's easy to get in your head about stuff like this but if you're able to take a step back and let go of pressure, shows are a lot more enjoyable.
