So tired of "buzzwords" and people repeatedly misusing terms that have specific definitions and are used within specific contexts.

From "everyone's a narcissist" because they did something I don't like to using "word salad" to describe something that the average joe might not understand without full context. And don't get me started on "gaslighting." JUST STOP IT.

I've always hated the corporate jargon that pops up in presentations with people clearly not understanding what the words meant. For a while there, 'creating synergy' and 'a new paradigm' were in everything. Those are still there, but have been overtaken by things like, 'core competency', 'start a dialogue', and 'actionable insights' which are just as eyeroll-worthy, just as meaningless, and just as expected. I understand why they get used - because upper management seems to think that if you use these magic words, everything will seem more professional and polished, but they make me feel like it's a pantomime of work that we need to get through to get to the actual work.

Ughh, the over- and incorrect use of gaslighting is just getting way out of control. It grated so bad on me when it first got popular, but now pretty much anything and everything is gaslighting and I hate it.
