Yeah, the movie tie-in covers always make the book look so cheap and tacky as well. Going from a handcrafted and imaginative piece of art to "we slapped a publicity image for the film on the front of this cover" is such a downgrade. There are a lot of books I would pick up if they had illustrated or nicely designed covers that I won't go near because of the cheap and tacky movie/TV tie-in covers.
