No. You aren't a bad friend for not wanting to hear about the same thing all the time. Is your friend willing to talk about things unrelated to fandom, or at least willing to listen to you talk about things you find interesting?

Exactly. And this isn't even a fandom-specific thing, either-- it would be just as annoying if the only thing your friend wanted to talk about was gardening. It's about being cognizant of the person you're talking to and recognizing that they may not be as deeply into a thing as you are.
