I WANT A VERSION OF SODA THAT TASTES LIKE DIET COKE BUT HAS REAL SUGAR IN IT INSTEAD OF ASPARTAME.

IS THIS DIFFICULT FOR PEOPLE TO COMPREHEND???????

I DON'T WANT REAL COKE. I DON'T WANT COKE ZERO BECAUSE THAT TASTES SIMILAR TO REAL COKE. I DON'T WANT MEXICAN COKE. I DON'T WANT A SODA THAT TASTES LIKE REAL COKE.

I WANT THE DIET COKE FLAVOR. WITH ACTUAL SUGAR.

THANK YOU.

It will never happen. First of all, Diet Coke was invented when regular Coke still had real sugar. And Diet Coke flopped with the general public but became a huge hit as the only soft drink diabetics could drink. It’s now also the main soft drink for people on all sorts of medications. It isn’t going to change. What you want doesn’t even make sense, it’s like you don’t know what Diet Coke is.

nayrt

If I may, Diet Coke actually has a different recipe from original Coke, and not just the sweetener.

The closest thing to what OP is describing (Diet Coke but with real sugar) might be New Coke/Coke II, which was based on Diet Coke's recipe but was discontinued decades back. But as I've never tried it, I can't verify whether or not it resembled the taste of Diet Coke.

I'm not a diet coke fan, so by all means disregard... but to me, the signature taste of diet coke IS aspartame. I can't tolerate the stuff because it's got such a sticky-sweet, slightly chemical flavor that lingers nastily on the tongue.

But... the diet Coke flavor IS the aspartame. That's why Coke Zero also has zero calories but tastes more like Coke - because it doesn't have aspartame.
