Yep. I have a friend who wanted kids, but her husband didn't. She convinced him to start a family by promising she'd do most of the work, but secretly, she convinced herself that once he saw his tiny son/daughter, he'd snap out of it, fall in love and become super dad. He did not. She got stuck raising two great kids, but their dad is a paycheck who comes home and sits in front of his TV or laptop and doesn't know or care about their lives. It's sad.

That IS sad, but at least he was honest at the start, and also, he hasn't left to get a pack of cigarettes and kept on walking.

My first love in high school was pretty much the same. He didn’t want kids and said it from the beginning. He ended up having kids out of guilt and has always regretted it. He tries to be a good dad but he isn’t. His kids deserve better.
