I could not agree more. It really discourages me from posting secrets or commenting, because I know there's a good chance the only response I'll get will be someone arguing or nitpicking my wording or making a bunch of wild assumptions. Or skimming and not getting the whole meaning, and then replying to what they think was said instead of what was actually said.

Yeah. It's why I stopped commenting under my account. People are ironically less hostile when I'm anon, but I've still had people misunderstand me or lose their mind over an innocuous comment or phrase (ex. "I'm aware").
