I love Mara Jade. I think she's awesome in the EU. One of my favorite characters in fact. But I'm glad she's not in canon. Luke of the EU and Luke of the sequels are very different characters. I adore both versions of him. But the sequels version wouldn't have happened if Mara had been there, even if Kylo had killed her.
