Got stuck briefly in an elevator with Armin Shimmerman at Dragoncon one year a while back. He was friendly and nice. Me being me, I was awkward and mostly not talking.

Aw I’d be the same way! Doesn’t surprise me he was lovely, I’ve always heard such wonderful things about him.

Yup. I generally don't do actual appointments with stars at those conventions for exactly that reason. I did do one photo shop once, that was at a Star Trek convention, my dad bought me a photo with 4 or 5 of the actors. But it is never something I choose for myself. I love going and listening to them talk, I like talking with other fans and being nerdy together. But I'm way too self conscious to meet with anyone famous.

He's so cool! I bet I know what year that was, approximately (since he hasn't been in a long time). I went when he and Robert Picardo just did a straight up hour of random stories that had the audience in stitches, no one even needed to ask a question because they went off.

He seemed pretty decent. And yes, it was at least 10 years ago, I know, because I haven't been in a long time. My dad and I went to two of them together a long while back, and I went to one myself. But I haven't been for years. I don't think I have the energy these days to do a convention, my life is too hectic.

I got stuck in an elevator with Gareth David-Lloyd at Dragoncon! It was in the Marriott, which usually isn't known for getting stuck like the Hilton elevators are.

That's cool. And yes, mine was the Hilton I believe. It has been at least 10 years, though, so I'm not entirely certain.
