Hating just to hate...

...is a waste of perfectly good hate.

Hating because something is poorly written, has unlikeable characters, and ruined Comic-Con is something different altogether.

Also, Meyer's defense of Mormonism's attacks on gay rights is inexcusable. She'll never see another dime from me. I consider the money I spent on Twilight a tragic waste. I consider Meyer a tragic waste as well.

I'm just saying, some people like it, and it pisses me off that nice, loving, smart people that I know liked the books and are too ashamed to say so because there is so much hate. It's just taste! People are allowed to enjoy poorly-written things. It just shouldn't be a problem.

The political side I completely agree with. But that's not my issue (I mean, in my post). Hating on people who deny gay rights is very definitely okay by me.
