No, I hear you.

There are tons of things that can disadvantage a person in their professional life but feel weird about using for marketing. If an artist used their parent's income level, or school system's national ranking, or the corruption of their home town government, or or their family history of heart disease, or whatever it'd feel weird.

Also also, I know for a fact that female and/or certain races have been underrepresented in American* art. I don't know the sexuality or disability status of every author who's published in English, but I know plenty of them were**, so I'm less interested in boosting that demographic. Is that bad of me? I don't really care.

*only country I have a good enough grasp on to be confident
**Herman Melville I'm looking at you
