I hear you on the tshirts. I have big arms and I hate that fandom tshirts (especially the ones designed specifically for women) have really short sleeves. They either are too tight and digging into my armpits and upper arms or just look really unflattering because it rides up toward the back of my arm and just highlights the flabbiness/fatness of my arm. I also have a short neck and most fandom tshirt have the neck cut high and tight.

Good luck nonny!

Yeah, for me it's not about how I think nerdy shirts necessarily LOOK on fat people, I don't think fat bodies look bad, but there's a definite issue in how those shirts can FEEL. And when you have to stretch out the neck to feel like you can breathe, yeah, then the shirt is not going to look as new or nice, and often a bigger size in a men's cut might have ample room for my upper arms or my stomach but have that really high and tight neck.

Ooh I hate the large sized shirts that have small short and/or tight sleeves. If I'm wearing a size 3X, I probably don't have thin upper arms, just sayin.
