Aw. I'm sorry. Hugs for you. And yes, for me it is a lot of factors. I'm sure eating is part of it given I used to have very bad eating habits. But I also have multiple medical conditions that cause weight gain, take a bunch of meds that cause weight gain, and have a genetic disposition.

Basically, I think weight is a complex thing. And we as a society are so judgy about it. We put it all on people's choices and thus feel okay judging someone for being fat.

I’m so sorry you deal with all that, too.

And yes, the judgement is insane. My dad is the last person in my family and he’s horribly judgmental about my weight. But he will only meet at restaurants and then he criticizes me for eating my food. I eat salads only and don’t use dressing, avoid all the sweets and fats they add, no cheese, but he still makes comments and I don’t think he knows that part of me dies every time.
