Gee, I guess I shouldn't have been so inspired to become an engineer by a character in a fandom I've been in my whole life, because I'm a girl too, and that engineering/mathy/mechanical stuff is totes too masculine for my poor ickle X chromosomes to handle!

You know, having a vagina has nothing to do with a propensity for, or a lack thereof, a desire to work on cars.

It doesn't actually have a whole lot to do with being a girl, either. Sex =/= gender.

But you could have worded it much better, "more feminine", "into more traditionally girly things," or, you know, we all would have gotten your point if you just went with "never showed an interest/as a person I never had in interest in mechanics." etc.

I guess this is my own lame way of saying, just be careful. :)
