This is such a fantastic show, but an odd one. I worked in the booth for it a few years back and saw it about 30 times and it became a favorite. I later dragged my new boyfriend to it a few weeks after we started dating, then tried to watch the show from a newcomer's point of view. I was pretty much sitting there the entire time thinking, "please don't judge me. Please don't judge me. Please don't judge me." (He decided eventually that he liked it. Woo!)

But yeah, a creepy show. Though, finding out what Urinetown truly was actually didn't surprise me much. I just remember hearing the soundtrack before seeing the show and being shocked [SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER] when Bobby died. I literally sat alone in my room with my mouth hanging open.
