I adore that movie beyond all comprehension.

I also relate to Jim way more than I'm ever comfortable admitting to others.

The biggest difference between us is that I never did find a father figure.

2. That picture looks really familiar. I could swear I've watched it before. What is it?

4. Oh yes, preach it sister ♥ I've had the misfortune of having friends like that. Not fun. You're probably better off without them if they treat you like you're expendable, of course, but it's never easy letting go of a good friend (or what used to be a good friend anyway; sometimes they change so much they're scarcely recognizable).

14. Just because a series is "revolutionary" doesn't mean it's good. D: It might have been really great for its time, but things change and there's no guarantee that it can't be outclassed by newer shows.

Tenchi Muyo and the rest of that genre have never appealed to me. It's just not my cup of tea, you know?

Word.

Sadly, no. Je suis le sucky Americaine. (Pardon my horrid French, I haven't studied it in years.) But I do feel exactly the same. Sometimes I want to be out of this world so much that it HURTS.

...

Usually on a daily basis.

Treasure Planet. Disney's space-age version of Treasure Island.

So underrated and underappreciated D:

16. Though Robin Hood has only just started here in Australia (the second episode is tonight) I'd be happy to squee with you. I love the Robin Hood legends in general. At the moment, since I've only seen one episode, not sure if I can agree that a threesome would be a good idea with those characters, but I could totally talk about a whole lot of different pairings.

4. Sounds like someone I used to know. :/

Oh gosh I so totally agree with this it's not funny.

His voice actor just died too D:

... I totally knew that. Really.

I've caught it on TV once or twice, but I've never seen it right from the beginning and I've never seen the end either. D: I've heard it was good but it's really freaking hard to find.

Unless there's a bootleg on Youtube or something, but I'm too lazy to go sifting through the AMVs.

[identity profile] thepinkangel.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 12:12 am (UTC)(link)

It IS good! There's no ridiculous singing and dancing numbers :D It's a lot more mature. The villian is very much complex, too, which is a welcome change (as much as I love Disney villains...)

Um... Well, I dunno about 'net downloads since I own it, but I managed to get a really good quality version on Ares a while back?

5. 8D Ahaha. I soooo remember that.

4. tl;dr

16. I watched, like, one episode.

I'm not really into Robin Hood, since I live in Nottingham.

[identity profile] animeotaku51.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
7. Ditto.

16. I LOVE ROBIN HOOD. I'm watching it right now, actually.

[identity profile] insanepurin.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 12:17 am (UTC)(link)

Agreed. I didn't like the whole "ZOMG TENCHI WE LUV U" and the catfights over this... dull guy I hardly even care about weren't funny to me. :/

YES.

The moment I saw that block of text on my flist, I knew it was her and her A/Ns again. I believe my reaction was, "... not again."

I was so glad when she finished her last fic. The A/N just kept on getting longer and longer with every chapter and AUGH.

Can't she just... put it under the cut? D: Isn't that more logical anyway??

[identity profile] myuki-chan.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, I remember. Augh.

I really don't know why she doesn't put them under the cut instead.

4. TL;DR. But that picture looks familiar.

7. Why are internet people so unhappy with their lives? :

[identity profile] viorica.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
7 - When I was little watching a specific episode of Duck Tales made me disappointed because how boring was the real world going to be without time travel devices or magic or crazy science contraptions?
My favourite fannish things most of the worlds are too brutal or empty (y halo thar FFVIII) to live in. But living in Space Channel 5's world would have to be pure joy.

16 - I watched all of Robin Hood, but it's got too many unintentional lulz for me to squee over it. But Gisbourne was excellent - I love a crap villain and then he had a silly outfit and sulks on top of that. Win. Whole show needed more Roy, Alan, Much and bawling Sheriff.

I'm barely hanging by a thread in the Bleach fandom, but from the looks of her impossibly long A/Ns, her so-called 'writing style' reeks of pretentiousness :|

Also I went into her writing journal and the first thing that I see is Gai/Sakura fic. I fear.

[identity profile] glitterbats.livejournal.com 2007-04-22 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
14: I know! It makes me sad, even if I only found out about it in high school.

15: ....You have more free memory than me >.>

What is Ares? :D;;

16! and other robin hood fans :D

[livejournal.com profile] robinhood_bbc is the most active community
[livejournal.com profile] robinhoodbbc_us is spoiler free for American viewers
[livejournal.com profile] rh_press is a bi-weekly fandom newsletter

There's fic, tons of icons, links to loads of interviews, there was even art at some point. There's other actor specific communities too, a couple of pairing communities, a fic request comm, uhhh, well, loads. And more treeporn than you can shake a stick at. :DD
