2. I JUST SAW THIS MOVIE YESTERDAY FOR THE FIRST TIME. LITERALLY. I'd totally fangirl it with you. :( I wasn't even aware a fandom existed for it.

8. I never remember anything about the fandom before KH2 came out, except for a bunch of Riku/Ansem crap that was very do not want.

Oh, it's got a fandom.

Full of giggling Gerard Butler fangirls who totally ignore the fact that the Phantom is supposed to be HIDEOUS. And then bash Raoul because HE BROKE THEIR OTP.

It's interesting. I stay out of the water there. D:

However, Gerry Butler is GORGEOUS. I will admit to that. And the Phatom is an intriguing character. But I'm a bit of a stickler for canon in this particular case, and I'd much rather see a Phantom with like, freakin' acid burns on his face that actually has a reason for the angst and woe instead of a really, really bad sunburn that doesn't affect him much.

...xD; Another reason why I don't get much into the fandom is that I'm a horrible rambleranter and I like the book, the musical, AND the movie. I'm a bit anal!

I admit I've only seen the movie. I'm a way late bloomer, apparently. I didn't even know how the story ENDED, because up until a few months ago I abhored musicals.

Now I'm interested in seeing the difference. My mother saw the musical and said the Phantom in that was really like the one in the movie, so I'd be curious to read the book.

But, yeah. I didn't even realize that was Gerald Butler until I looked at the back of the box. AND RAOUL WAS COOL. It kind of felt like he was just there to give the Phantom a rival for a while, but I ended up liking him in the end.

...but anyway. Thanks for the warning about the fandom. D: I'd hate to dive into that, especially since there are probably a million Cristine/Phantom OTP!!!! fics out there.

I think it was more about the music for me. The songs enchanted me ever since I was a kid, and then there was some intensity within the story that just had me hooked. If anyone offers to take me to a PoTO show? I'll never refuse ♥ The most magical thing was going to the musical and having the guy who was performing as the Phantom to hand ME the rose he was supposed to throw to a particular member of the audience that night and yeahhhhh ♥ so romantic.

WE OUGHT TO GO WATCH A SHOW TOGETHER MARUCHAN. ♥

Oh, the music was so wonderful. I downloaded the soundtrack yesterday and I think I've gone through it about 10 times. I adore the title song. ;_;

AND WHAT. GOD. YOU'RE SO LUCKY AND SEXY I'd give you a rose... in my teeth. 8D

WE SHOULD. ♥ I was just saying the other day how I'd kill to go see it now. Especially on Broadway. +_+
