I hate the way that community is run. There's so much emphasis on the ship sailings its way to canon (which is in the extreme future if it ever does happen) that it takes the fun out of things. And one of the mods is supremely annoying - she almost always gets the last word and you're not allowed to have an opposite opinion from her.

Yeah, I know the mod you're talking about. She's done a lot for the community but sometimes it's like "SHUT UP, you're not always right, you know"
It's a pity, because the other mods don't take the ship so seriously, and that way it's more fun.

Ugh, I accidentally engaged that particular mod in a discussion, and it turned into getting lectured about how S/P is clearly the end-all, be-all of everything about the show. It's so frustrating. I hate a culture like that.

I was watching the comm for a bit but after awhile the creepy insistence that it's canon (or that it for sure is going to be by the end of Nov sweeps/Feb sweeps/the finale/whatever goalposts they decide to move it to after that) just stopped being amusing and started feeling, well, creepy.

Idk if I really ship it or if I just ship all the fanworks, but I don't think it gives enough credit to the show to pretend they're canon. I think Leonard's relationship with Penny plays a big role in Sheldon's relationship with Penny, and from what I've seen of some of the fandom, they wouldn't care right or left if Leonard was even a part of it.

Though I only ever really watch it anymore for the Howard/Raj. ;)

The show's much better as an ensemble anyway.

Though not going to lie, I don't hate the mods or the comm itself. Its a very nice place, and everybody's very welcoming and lovely.

I just hate the constant WE MUST BE CANON and IT MUST BE ROMANTIC mindset.
Its annoying how their platonic relationship can often be overlooked when people are focusing on the sexual tension that's not always there.

That isn't always there and is largely subjective when it is. Oh man oh man does it drive me batty when I see people tout their chemistry as proof positive that this ship is/is going to be canon, or when they use it to insult the intelligence of the people who don't see it (not that I see the latter frequently, if ever, in this particular comm, but I have seen the odd comment here or there on EW or similar gen tv/spoiler sites).
