Probably, yeah. As it is, the class was a bullshit class that I coasted through until the end when I just stopped caring.

And then I got bored studying and found fic. It made my night.

Well if it had been a class that mattered at all in the long run, I might have cared.

I passed though, so it doesn't really matter. Normally I'm very seriously OMG SCHOOL WORK FML because classes eat my life. Last semester was just depressing and I stopped caring at the end.

Fic kept me sane that night, so I don't regret it.

her fics are incredible though, so i totally understand. judgin you so hard on the internets! haha. i know some nights i'd much rather just play guitar and unwind than look at another page of notes. it helps.

The OP passed their course (which they didn't like and wasn't important anyway), didn't have to study, and got to read awesome fanfiction. This seems like a pretty ideal situation to me.

IAWTC. OP is awesome, and I probably wouldn't have regretted it either.

Then again, I've done it, too, so. :S

All I can say is it's best to try not to do it again. Even if a class bores you to hell, it's still important.

The author seems to have so much with their ideas that it's hard to regret anything after reading them.

I agree with the other comments you made, OP. Sometimes fanfic make crappy classes bearable.

Well, I'd delay college until you are past that attitude. No use wasting money on education if you aren't really interested in it.

What if it's a required class? I sure as hell wasn't interested in Pluralism & Diversity, but I still had to take it.

But I take it you were still damn interested in getting your degree. Some classes are real chores, but if you have a plan for your future and you aren't just spinning your wheels in collage hoping that you'll know what to do with your life when you finally graduate, it's a whole lot easier to put the effort in to not fail.

If you are just taking college because everyone told you you had to, but you have no clue what it will get you when you get out, then it is just as easy to spin your wheels reading fanfic as it is studying for a test you aren't motivated to pass. But then you are also wasting your money. Because jobs don't fall in your lap simply because you have a degree. It may turn out that you have earned the wrong degree and you'll have to go back to school to get the one you actually needed for the career you finally decide you want.

Better to delay college and go work for a year or two, go back to college when you are actually working for a career not a degree.

It was a bullshit class for the core curriculum. I've already finished most of my concentration. I graduate next December.

Trust me, I've got this down. It was one class. I passed the class, and got high marks in every other class that term.

Very cute. Not. Come on, the damn fanfiction would have been there after your tests.

I don't get why you're so upset over it. It doesn't affect you. It didn't do any damage to my overall college experience. I passed, and it was one night. One exam.

I know the fic would have been there after the exams, but I was bored. I'm sure you've never been bored before, but it sucks.

I'm not upset, I'm disgusted.

Oh, boo hoo. You were bored. Well, I'll let you know something, honey: after that college experience, you're going to be bored off your ass nine times out of ten and "I was bored" isn't going to be an excuse that's going to save your ass with anyone.

Depressing author is a one-trick pony. Do yourself a favor, OP, and realize that all of her stories are the same. You'll save time and do better on exams.
