I've been in fandom so long (in my own little corners) that the wank really doesn't phase me anymore. I'm in a very teeeeny tiny corner right now, and it's nice and comfy and wank free.

I don't want the show to go on for a sixth season because it will either mean A) Cas dies or something and won't be in the show most likely (since Kripke said he'd end all the Angel stuff this season). And/or B) they'll attempt to bring back the awesomeness that is season 1/2, only since we've seen so much and the bros have been through so much, it'll be totally lackluster and boring (the bros and J2 aren't enough to keep me excited anymore).

So in the end...blah. No season 6. I'll watch it, but I probably won't like it.

I would actually be pretty okay with it, if they upped the challenge levels of the MotWs. Castiel wouldn't have to die, I don't think -- he could become a recurring human character, maybe. Bobby could keep being his badass self. Anna could come back somehow, or we could find someone else with a double-X chromosome to stick in fron tof the camera, 's all good. There could be some pretext-for-a-season plot, but mostly individual monsters.

I guess it could be bad because of the danger of extending it ad infinitum, which definitely would not work. But one season? Fuck yeah, I'd take that.

I agree. It could be amazing. But I can't help but think it would be difficult to go from having an all out battle between Heaven, Hell, and Humanity, even bringing Lucifer and GOD into it, and then going back to two guys road-tripping across the US of A like the good ol' days. Speaking metaphorically, meatloaf may be good but once you've had a nice, juicy slab of Kobe steak, going back to the dry meatloaf may be a bit sucky.
