Another politics addict here. :D I actually used to be involved in it, but over here, it's nothing like The West Wing.

I can see that you're open-minded when it comes to shipping and you're not a right-winger. We can be friends if you want. :) Though I only write fic for Star Wars (which I like so much because of - you guessed it - the politics).

I was involved in it for a summer- I interned at the house of commons. Was a totally awesome experience. But um yeah pretty much nothing like the West Wing xD

That's so cool! I'm sure you learned a lot. You'll have to tell me more about that. Is it really like in The Thick of It? :D

I was offered a parliamentary internship several years ago, but I had to decline because it was a bad time for my family, and after that, I was just too busy. (Maybe I'll do it next year.) But I wouldn't have declined an internship at the British house of commons. And if we had a party like your Labour here, I wouldn't have quit politics.
