I'd recommend the Watchmen GN to everyone. I'd argue that it's better than the movie, because it contains a wealth of detail that the movie glosses over, and the extra information helps to put more things into context. It's also grittier. And Book!Laurie > Movie!Laurie. But I'm very biased. The movie version is still good, and the bit showing Doctor Manhattan's backstory makes me squeal in horrible fangirl joy.

I had this tingling in the back of my head the first moment Loghain showed up and was all "I hate you, but someone has got to take care of you, right?"

Yes! And I'm a sucker for well-meaning dorks and grumpy, pragmatic jerks who like them anyway.
