It did. OP probably watched the dub, which removed the product placement.

And I'm personally convinced that the dub sucks just because it lacks Pizza Hut.

That's like. One of the staples of Code Geass. Like, it's a show about chess, robots, witches and Pizza Hut, that's just what it is.

Agreed! Pizza Hut was a huge part of the fun for me! But I imagine they couldn't/didn't want to bother with copyright law shenanigans.

Pizza Hut America and Pizza Hut Japan have two different marketing strategies, don't blame the dubbers for wanting to avoid legal troubles. I did see a building with a familiar shaped logo in the background in an a dubbed episode once, though.

We have them all over the place in Texas! The pizza's pretty decent for $4.99 all-you-can-eat pizza, soup, and salad. Each one also has a mini-arcade. Definitely one of my staples of growing up, when it was only $2.49 per adult. Sweet childhood memories... ;_;

I did the exact same thing one day, and it blew my mind that I didn't realize it sooner.

I made the connection too! It can be wacky and surreal to find/make a reference to something anime related in real life. ;)
But CC would sure as hell have better tasting pizza than that. She's better off with Pizza Hut than CiCi's.
