lol if she is actually your best friend then i'm hoping she won't care what you ship. otherwise i pity you.

My best friends dislike more than half the pairings I love. One pairing goes completely against an otp of theirs (completely like idk, naruhina against narusaku).

But they stick around anyway, because that's what best friends do.

The ship is amazing, the writers are talented, the artists are talented, the fandom is awesome... and the ship is amazing. Do it. Do it. Do it!

Your best friend must be a dick, if you're really that worried..

If they're really your friend, they won't care what you ship as long as it makes you happy. :) Heaven knows that most of my friends ship completely different pairings than I do and we still manage just fine. XD

As a hater of the pairing, I wouldn't judge any of my friends for liking it. I may openly bitch about it to them, but I'm not going to tell them they should not like something because I hate it. Just tell your friend (which I'm really hoping is not me because that'd be awkward.) and they'll understand if they're a true friend. =)

Lol, 5927 is my OTP but 592780 is my OT3. My friends accept that I'm not the biggest of 8059 by itself, though. But it's not like I hate it; I've written it for a friend before. We respect each others' tastes.

Are you sure that you're gonna get a really negative reaction from your friend? Pairings aren't something to lose a friendship over :/

I recently had a problem like this with a ship both my friend and I hated on together, but suddenly I got more into the fandom and began to love it.
I guess your fear isn't 'I'LL LOOSE MY BFF D:' it's more 'Now we'll have less in common...' since my friend and I shipped everything together, and hated all the same ships. But then here was something I loved and she hated.
In the end, I guess I just stopped hiding it. I didn't come out and say 'Well then, friend! I like this ship. Got it?' I just sort of acted like she always knew xD
