I remember him from the X-Files. I can't believe he's gone.

Same here, his name rang a bell from X Files. I didn't even know he was dead.

I know what you mean. I am WAY new to fandom, but just reading about what all the cast/crew had to say about him and how upset they were...they just seem like the greatest little family and it makes me so sad.

I've been out of the X-Files fandom for years now, so I guess it makes sense. He directed some of my favorite episodes. Plus, I'll always love the foul-mouthed bleepity-bleep Det. Manners from "Jose Chung's From Outer Space", which was based directly on him.

I didn't know he's died! I remember him from X Files, I could always tell it as one of his episodes before the main titles. I'm sad now.

I think I know who this is, but it's alright. Kim Manners was adorable! He just seemed so sweet and funny on the DVDs, and I think he helped make Supernatural as awesome as it is.

TL;DR It's okay to miss him.

What I can't get over about his death is when they did the "death reel" that year on the Emmys they didn't show Kim Manners, but they did show other producers, writers, etc. That pissed me off SO bad!

Crap, I didn't know this. I need to get back to my X-Files re-watch.

I know what you mean. Kim was crazy talented, his episodes of SPN were almost always my favourites, and when he died all the crew and cast folks sounded just devastated. He seemed like an awesome dude. I still kinda can't believe he's gone.
